Have you ever seen a chicken which is bigger than a man or a rat with a human ear on the back? I never saw a thing like that until our English teacher showed us some pictures and I can only say that with genetic engineering is everything possible.
One the one hand genetic engineering is very useful. First of all for our health. Cheers genetic engineering we can heal certain diseases and we can create new ears and things like that. For example if someone has an accident and looses a ear we can create a new one on the back of a rat. For this genetic engineering is very useful.
Apart from that there is the dark side of genetic engineering. Fingerprints and things which make a person unique can let the state with the help of genetic engineering control everything. Have you seen the film “GATACA”? In this film everything is controlled by the genetics. Imagine a world in which every step you make is controlled by the state. I ask you, is this still a life?
Personally I think genetic engineering can be very useful. In my opinion it’s a good thing to help people but the human should not play with the genes.

Set up is not important
Set up is not important
In the past just the traditional family existed. Nowadays it is normal if someone is divorced, lives in a blended family or in a forster family. In my opinion it is not important in what kind of family you live. The only thing that is important for me is that you get enough love. In the following essay I will explain you why love is the only thing for me which decides if you live in a good or a bad family.
As I said before for me only love matters. Also in a traditional family are problems. There could also be domestic violence. Especially in the past in traditional families domestic violence was day life.
On the other hand I understand if people say that it shouldn’t give gay families. I don’t think that they aren’t as good as other parents but most people and children couldn’t accept things which are different. I think the children of a gay family would be bulled in school so that would be just a con.
Also that single parent families have not enough time for their kids is a big partiality. I think that is wrong, sure they have to work the whole day and so their children are alone at home but is that really a con? I don’t think so. These children learn earlier to look after them self.
Nowadays I think the primary is that you have friends. When you have real friends you don’t need a family than your friends are your family. Above all in the puberty the most teenagers accept their friends more than their family. Their friends understand them and feel with them. Sometimes you don’t need someone who is related by blood, you need someone who likes you and really tries to understand you.
To sum up I have to say again that just love matters and I hope that I could show you that it isn’t important if you are a traditional family or something else. If you have a family or friends whose love you should be lucky and try to show the every time you can that you love them. You should never take them for naturally because if you don’t guess them you will lose them and never get them back.

Dreams
Dreams
Everybody has dreams. Some of us have the ability to navigate them, this ability is called lucid dreams, and others have nightmares. Dreams influence us, sometimes in a good and sometimes in a bad way and exactly there the opinion of the people split.
To start with the positive site of dreams we have to accept that dreams are very enjoyable. Our body, especially our mind could relax what involves that we won’t get crazy. Also a lot of supporters argue that dreams can help us to solve problems and to cope with stress. A special form of dreaming is daydreaming. Here the people not really dream and also if we only escape for a few minutes from our problems we can relax and feel much better.
In contrast to the positive sites of dreams also a lot of people think that dreams can be terrifying for example nightmares. Nightmares could be very difficult to understand and to see the positive site of them if it’s possible. People with nightmares can fall asleep what causes more and more stress for the person. Also the above positive called daydreams could be negative. If a person daydreams the whole day he will miss a lot of important things like in school or at work.
To sump up it’s difficult to say if dreams a positive or negative. For our body and mind dreams are the best thing to relax but in the end everyone has to decide for his own if he or she likes to dream or if he prefers to have no dreams. Thought not everyone has the ability to navigate a dream so we only can accept if we dream and what especially if we think that we forget the most of our dreams before we awake.

Letter
Dear __
In this situation it’s maybe a stupid question but how are you? At first I couldn’t realize that something like that could happen to a person at my age. Only to read what happened to you was a shock for me so I could imagine how you feel in this moment.
At my point it’s easy to say what you should do. If you should tell someone maybe your parents or a friend but if I were in your situation I would also run away from my problem but you have to accept that this is the wrong thing. I mean you didn’t kill him designedly it was an accident. If you accept that you may be able to tell someone what happens and may one time you could forget it.
I understand that you don’t want to go to police and tell them what happened but than you may fell better. So you have all the time feeling of guilt.
I think it was a good idea that you write a letter which contains what happened. For me this was the first step and now every thing gets better.
If you ask me you should tell it Macy she would also be shocked but I think she would try to help and understand you. Not only because she was the only one who always noticed that something was wrong and she could help also if she didn’t talk that just her attendance makes you feel much better.
In the end it was the first step to write the letter. Now you have to find a person you can trust it doesn’t matter if it’s Macy, your father or a policeman. I’m sure one time you will find the right person after this happen you will see every thing change.

Paranoid Park
Paranoid Park is written by Blake Nelson who lives in Los Angeles. The book was published by Puffin and released in February 2008.
The book is about a boy, we don’t know the name because it’s a narrator, who loves to skate and so onetime his best friend Jared take him to a skate park called “Paranoid Park”. At this place only the best skaters of Portland and ambit skate. Shortly before the narrator and Jared wanted to go to Paranoid Park Jared cancelled the arrangement. Although the narrator has doubts if he should goes alone him he goes. There he meets some street kids and with one of them he goes train hoping and there the terrible thing happens. After this happening the narrator’s life change completely.
The main character the narrator is a typical 16 years old boy. He is a skater and so he loves to skate, hang out with friends and relax. It’s very difficult to say something about his character because in this book we just see one side of his character. So in the book he is a very uncommunicative guy who always wants to saves his problems by himself and so he gets just into more problems. One reason why he is so uncommunicative is maybe because his parents will be divorced so he couldn’t tell them because the have enough problems.
The book is written like a letter in which he tells the only person he really trusts every thing that happened and how he feels about that all. I think it’s a perfect book for young adults because it contains a lot of topics we are interested in.
I don’t know if this book has a message but maybe it should show as that it is sometime better to talk than to keep it in private.
For me this is a very good book. I like the topics in this book maybe this is because I’m a girl and so I automatically I like every thing that is dramatically or that contains with feelings.
So I give this book the rate 9.

1.Book Review
The book “Speak” has been written by Laurie Halse Anderson with this book she was the first time nominated for the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. “Speak” was initial published by the penguin group in 1999. Laurie Halse lives with her second husband, Scot Larrabe, and her children in NY. The book told about a 14 years old girl who was raped on an end of summer party by an older boy.
In the summer of her freshman year of high school Melinda Sordino has been raped by an older senior called Andy Evans during the party. There upon Melinda called the cops and these broke up the party immediately. After this night she is an outcast at her school. Even her closest friends stop talking at her. The only person who wants to talk to her is Heather from
I think Laurie wants show us how people are concentrated on them self, nowadays. Melinda called the police but nobody ask why, everyone just blamed her to broke up the party.
So even Melinda blamed herself. And at school, no teacher noticed that she didn’t speak, or her parents. Why they didn’t do anything? Why didn’t anybody recognize her situation?
I like this book because it shows a girl which overcomes her fears and become another person. I think it’s a very realistic story which could happen to everyone. I don’t like that Laurie writes very detailed how Melinda blamed herself in contrast to the end, when she overcomes her fears. This part was very short and besides to few detailed.
2. Description of the main character
Melinda doesn’t like and blame herself for the rape. After her rape she decided that it would be the best to stop to speak and so she redlines herself from everything. Melinda thinks that everyone at school hates her but over the story it turn out that some of her ex friends still like her. Also Mr. Freeman, the art teacher, likes her and helps her on his own way. After all she was never alone unlike she ever thought.
Melinda is a 14 years old girl which doesn’t have a lot of friends. Basically she had only three people which with she peak and that are Heather, David Pertaki, her lab partner, Mr. Freeman. Before the end she also can speak sometimes with Ivy. Melinda can’t talk to her parents, because they are very busy and that is the reason why she doesn’t want to charge her parents with her problems. In fact she has only Heather as a friend but after some time Heather dismissed her for the Marthas. Therefore the only person she trusts at school is Mr. Freeman and at the end she tells him about her rape what shows that they have a very strong connection.
The most pupils at school don’t like her because she broke up the party. If they would know what happens really at that time they would probably understand why she called the cops. The other people don’t even take a look at her except for David Pertaki. He likes her and invites she to come to a party at his house but she was too afraid and so she defeat. Her parents notice that she doesn’t speak and also her teachers, but they don’t help her, with the exception of Mr. Freemann tries to help her of on his wise.
I think only Melinda will change in the book namely at the scene with Andy Eavens when he tries to rape her again. There she remarks that it wasn’t the fault of her. He was the one who done something wrong and in this moment she overcomes her fears and she changed from the girl who stopped to speak to a self – confident girl who don’t think to keep her mouth. I think the best where you can see her change at her art, as her tree on her pictures changes also herself changes. At beginning her art looks like trees from a child and at the end the trees were not perfect but very good. With this dispartion trying something again and again she shows to me that she is a fighter and wants to live.

We will start our tour through Cambridge in Drummer street at the bus station but we won’t take the bus, we will walk all the way. First we walk straight ahead and on the right hand side you cn see Christ’s haouse. We move on and walk into St. Andrew street where we pass the post office. After a few minutes we turn right and walk into Prembrake street where we stop at the Whipple Museum which is a historical science museum. This museum is very popular among tourists because it’s one of the greatest in the country. Now we will walk again for some minutes then we get to our third stop, Corpus Christi, where you can study theology. This college is very famous because the building is very old. It’s one of he oldest churhces in Europe. It was foundes in 1352. Currently we walk to the market, which is open once every week. This market is very amazing because you find all you need here and at the stalls get the bset vegetables. We move on and walk straight ahead and get to the next stop: Trinity College. It was founded in 1546. Here you can study biology. After some minutes we will reach the university in Cambidge the Melhodist university. The university is an amazing building where a lot of people study theology because it’s one of the best in he world. Now we finally get to the shopping center and as I can see the ladies are amused. From outside it looks small but inside it’s great. Here you find everything you want. For the ladies it’s a paradise. We now come tho the last stop of our tour and as you can see it’s the place we started. I hope you ‘ve enjoy the tour. As I can see you’r tierd from walking so we atke a bus back to our hotel.
